Bass Rites
Services for Henry Bass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Collum. Burial will be in Celestial Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bass, 70, of 1821 Sunnyside Drive, Cayce, died Saturday.
Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late E.W. and Mary Taylor Bass. He was a retired warehouse manager of McKesson?s, and Army veteran of World War II, a recipient of two Bronze Service Stars and a member of First Baptist Church of Cayce.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Belch Bass; daughters, Mrs. Davis (Brenda) Hook Jr. of West Columbia and Mrs. Johnny (Kathy) Hamby of Murrells Inlet; sons, Leslie H. Bass of Columbia, Larry Bass of Cayce and Alonzo Earl Bass of Simpsonville; a brother, Woodrow Bass of Blythewood; grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering of First Baptist Church of Cayce.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
