David Wayne Bass

David Wayne Bass was born June 23rd, 1954 and passed away January 11th, 2018. David passed away on the morning of the 11th at the home of his sisters after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was of the Baptist faith and lived in Oliver Springs, TN for the majority of his life.
He was an avid Ginseng hunter, traveler, outdoorsman, artist and Tennessee Vols fan.
He was preceded in death by Father Rev. Wm. H. Bass Sr. Mother Lois Harness Bass. Brothers R.J. Bass, J.C. Bass. Grandparents John and Elsie Bass, Clarence and Annie Harness. Sister in law Katie Bass. Brothers in law Glen Haney, Denny Justice, Dallas Ricker.
He is survived by Son Christopher Morphis of Oliver Springs. Brothers Harvey (wife Dorothy) Bass of Oak Ridge, Jerry (wife Debbie) Bass of Oliver Springs, Jeff (wife Rhonda) Bass of Oliver Springs. Sisters Trula Justice of Oliver Springs, Clara Ricker of Clinton, Amy (husband Terry) Braden of Briceville. And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 14th, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, Oliver Springs, TN.
Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Bro. Spanky Braden officiating.
Interment will be in the Mineral Springs Church Cemetery.
