He will be dearly miss by all who knew and loved him. Meldon was preceded in death by his son; Joe, and wife of 31 years Ola, his mother and father JC and Ida, 2nd wife of 28 years Eloise, and sister Loyce Hunter. He is survived by his son; Sam Bass and wife Linda, stepson; Joe Henley and wife Mary, stepdaughter; Pat Avery and husband Bob, grandchildren; Brandi Bass Dathe, Mindi Bass Rawlings, Joe Bass, Clay Avery, Ryan McFarland, great grandchildren; Dax and Hannah Dathe and Tyler Rawlings, sister; Athlee Tibbitts. Numerous other nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
