Peggy Jo Bass, 69 years old Checotah resident, entered heavens gates in Tulsa on Friday, June 17, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Peggy was born Sunday, May 3, 1953 in Dinuba, California to O.H. and Bonnie (Mangrum) Money. She attended Eufaula Public Schools. She married Edward Bass on August 7, 1970. She attended Connors State College and graduated from Northeastern State University in 1986 with a degree in Tourism Management. Peggy loved to travel and traveled to many states. Peggy loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her greatest love in life was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents O.H. (Oscar Hugh) and Bonnie Money, one brother, Oscar Hugh Money, and one sister, Lawana Bell. She is lovingly survived by her husband of the home, Edward Bass; daughter Bonnie Glad and her husband Warren of Norris City, Illinois; grandchildren, Jacob (Toby) Glad, Zachariah Glad, and Nathanial (Brittany) Glad; Great grandchildren, Darren Glad, Clay Glad, Maverick Glad, Alana Glad, Zahra Glad and one on the way; one sister, Donna (Johnny) Bumgarner of Eufaula, Oklahoma; Sister-in-law, Cheryl Money of Checotah, Oklahoma; Brother-in-law, Kenneth (Sybil) Bass of Canadian, Oklahoma, Brother-in-law, Charles (Sharon) Bass of Tiger Mountain, Oklahoma, Sister-in-law, Mary (Mike) Knoer of Texas as well as several nieces and nephews. Services celebrating the life of Peggy will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Checotah, Oklahoma with Pastor Steve Dennis officiating.
