Mr. Bass was a member of Second Baptist Church. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Second Baptist Church by the Rev. William Scott. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Nancy S. Bass of St. Pauls; two sons, Roger W. Bass of Brandon, Fla., and James C. Bass of Fayetteville; two daughters, Patricia B. Evans of Red Springs and Saundra Knowles of Palatka, Fla.; two brothers, Laurie E. Bass of Palatka and A.C. Bass of Lake Park, Ga.; a sister, Betty Ives of Quitman, Ga.; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Saint Pauls Funeral Home in St. Pauls.
