Rilla Garnet Bass
Garnet" was born at Wheatland, Wyo. on Jan. 30, 1928. She passed away peacefully at Sunbridge, Meridian Sept. 29, 2006. She lived through most of Wyoming and Southern Idaho until 1954. She then met and married Jessie Bass. She continued nursing through the years of raising three children. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Higgins, Jr. and her parents. She is survived by her children Patricia (Corkey) Hawley of Nashville, Tenn.., Robin (Dave) VanLeer, Boise, and Mike (Deborah) Bass, Boise. She also leaves grandchildren, Travis, Griffen and Julian Bass, Tara Smith and MacKenzie VanLeer and Sheila VanLeer and one great-grandson, Aiden. A visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at Bowman Funeral Parlor and a funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday Oct. 2, at Bowman Funeral Parlor followed by burial at Dry Creek Cemetery.
