Bass Southern Pines - Funeral services for Gilbert Franklin Bass, 71, of Southern Pines, will be conducted tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen. Burial will be in Old Bethesda Cemetery. He died yesterday morning. Surviving are one son, M. Lloyd Bass of Southern Pines; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Barefoot of Dunn, Mrs. Lizzie Bledsoe of Hope Mills and Mrs. Minnie Cannady of Erwin; four brothers, Ed and Robert Bass, both of Erwin, Chester Bass of Dunn, and Jesse Bass of Hope Mills.
