Rachel Magdalene Lassiter
Clayton: Mrs. Rachel Magdalene Lassiter, age 92, of 107 Antler Drive passed away Wednesday at the Bryan Center in Clayton. Graveside Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Monday at Selma Memorial Gardens, Selma. Rev. Phillip Barnes will officiate.
Mrs. Lassiter was born February 3, 1922 in Johnston County to the late Carl & Betty Pilkington Ennis. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Elwood Bass and Linwood Lassiter, daughter, Mary Lynn Cooper, son, Jimmie Hubert Bass, great-granddaughter, Melissa Rutker and brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lassiter retired from Burlington Mills and was a member of Believer's Baptist Church, Wilson Mills.
Surviving include son and daughter-in-law, Thomas & Judy Bass of Wilson Mills, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; sister, Emma Lou Gilbert of Middlesex; brothers, Johnnie Ennis of Wilson Mills and Marvin Ennis of Texas; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:30PM - 2:30PM Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Four Oaks prior to the graveside service.
Flowers are welcomed, however the family request memorials be sent to Thomas Bass, P.O. Box 55, Smithfield, NC 27577.
