Thomas Samuel Bass, 55
A funeral for Thomas Samuel Bass Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel in Vancouver.
Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
Mr. Bass died of a stroke Friday in his Vancouver home. He was 55.
Born June 4, 1937, in Ariton, Ala., Mr. Bass worked for the Aluminum Company of America in Vancouver before retiring. He had lived in the Vancouver area since 1961.
Mr. Bass served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Ila M. of Vancouver; son, Thomas S. Jr. of Vancouver; stepson, Michael Guest of Vancouver; daughters, Sherri L. of Portland and Luann Berry of Nashville, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Debra Benedetti and Danette Gutzman, both of Vancouver; brothers, Ralph E. of Winter Garden, Fla., and Mardis Jr. of Orange, Calif.; sisters, Mattie M. Whiddon of Smeads, Fla., Joanna Pugh of Orlando, Fla., Sarah M. French of Chipley, Fla., Jan Brown of Lakeland, Fla., and Barbara J. Bass of Florida; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the American Heart Association, 5603 N.W. Cherry St., Vancouver, WA 98663.
