Irvin Bass, 90, of Okeechobee, died May 6, 2007, at Okeechobee Health Care Facility. He was born April 13, 1917, in Kissimmee to Vernie and Lillian Bass. Mr. Bass proudly served 23 years in the United States Armed Forces. He was stationed in Germany during World War II. He received the Army E-5 Commendation Medal. Mr. Bass is survived by his brother, Milton Bass of Port St. Lucie; sister, Louise White of Old Town; niece, Dianne Barber of Okeechobee; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2007, at Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home with interment following at Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Gene Roddenberry will officiate. All arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Crematory, 205 N.E. Second Street, Okeechobee.
