Services will be at 11:30 a.m. June 13, 2013, at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg with burial in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Bass was a member of the Order of the First Families of Mississippi and the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, George W. Kendall Chapter, Boerne, Texas. Survivors include her children: Carol and James Taylor Westermeier, Robert Magee Bass, III, Thomas Merrill Bass; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Magee Bass, Jr.; her parents, and all of her siblings, Nellie Mae Parker, Tom Jim Winborn, Charles Robert Winborn, Lona Hedgepeth, Lola Bass, Carolyn Williamson Brown, Leland Meeks. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or your charity of choice.
