Alfred Bessette died early today at the residence, 9 Grant Street, following a long illness. Born in Cohoes, he was a lifelong resident of this city and a communicant of St. Agnes’ Church. Besides his wife, who was formerly Miss Rose LaChapelle, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Lecuyer, Mrs. Casper Bullitt and Mrs. Rudolph Delude, all of this city; two sons, Edmund Bessette of this city and Joseph Bessette of La Paz, Bolivia; a sister, Mrs. William Davies of Renaselaer; a brother, Delphis Bessette of this city; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday from the funeral home of A. G Bolvin’s Sons, Inc., 70 Congress Street, and from St. Agnes’ Church at a time to be announced. Burial will be in St. Joseph’e Cemetery, Waterford.
