George W. Bessette
Mr. George W. Bessette of 908 John St. died May 22, 1981 in St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Hudson, N.Y. the son of George and Hattie May (Echler) Bessette. On November 28, 1931 in Hudson he married Evelyn H. Hermance. She died October 20, 1969. He has resided in Utica for the past 40 years. He was employed by B. & R. Trucking CO. and for the last five years with Winkleman’s. Mr. Bessette was a member of St. John’s Church, Utica, and was a member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #182.
Surviving is one brother, Charles Bessette, of Hudson, N.Y., several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 8:15 Monday morning from the Quinn, Ryan & Nunn, Inc. Funeral Home 2212 Genesee St. and at 9 o’clock from St. John’s Church. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9. Contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
