Bass, 87, of Canton, formerly of Shelbyvillle, IN, passed away at 2:25 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on January 29, 1935 in Bartholomew County, Indiana, a daughter of Virgil and Shirley (Williams) Arnett. She married the love of her life, William Bass, on May 7th, 1960 at St. Louis Crossing Baptist Church in Indiana. He survives. Evelyn is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers; Frank and Marvin Arnett, and two sisters; Peggy Proffitt, and Janice Hyden. Evelyn worked as a cashier at A&P Grocery Store for 23 years. She was of Baptist faith, and loved to be outside working in the yard. A Graveside Service will be held on behalf of Evelyn at 10:00 AM on Friday June 3, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL.
