Billie Jean Bass, 91, Columbia
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Columbia for Billie Jean Bass, 91, of Columbia, who died on Thursday, Sept. 26 at her residence. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Cook, Dr. Bryant Barnes and Rev. Tom Thurman officiated at the services. Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday, Sept. 30 at First Baptist Church in Columbia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy H. Sullivan; second husband, Dr. Charles Bass; parents, H.P. and Blanche Chipman; sons, Marc Henderson Sullivan and Walter Ray Sullivan, and sisters, Lillian Pinkard and Evelyn Greer.
Survivors include her daughters, Regi Sullivan Cook (Wayne) of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Shannon Sullivan of Columbia; three grandchildren, Allison Cook Chasin (Scott) of Cary, N.C., Sullivan Cook (Melissa) of Savannah, Ga., and Taylor Cook (Maria) of Enola, Penn.; four great-grandchildren, Emily Cook and Ezra Cook, both of Savannah, Ga., and Emilia Cook and Perrin Cook of Enola, Penn., and sister, Lorene Lewis of Gallipolis, Ohio.
Pallbearers were Billy Hemphill, Billy Sanson, Stephan Neron, Ricky Carney, Christian McCance and Carlton Thornhill.
