Isaac T. Bass was born in Miller Couty on March 12, 1853. he was a son of William Bass (1818-1892) and Melvina McCubbin (1821-1902), natives of Kentucky. The Bass family were early settlers of Miller County. In the early 1830s, Isaac Bass, Sr. (grandfather of Isaac) settled near the Osage River in Equality Township. He also served as a member of the first grand jury of the county after it was formed in 1837.
There is no record of a marrage for William Bass and Melvina McCubbin in Miller County, records. They married sometime about 1839 and became parents of several children including:

4. Isaac T. Bass. b 1853 m. Margaret/Maggie Williams.
5. Sarah Elizabeth Bass b. 1855 m. General C. Martin
6. Henry Joshua Bass b. 1859 m. Emma Nichols
7. Rial C. Bass b. 1862 m. Ada Marin 1880.
Isaac T. Bass, the fourth child of William and Melvina, married Margaret/Maggie Williams in Miller County on Aug. 31, 1875. In 1880 Isaac and Margaret/Maggie were living in northern Richwoods Township near his parents and his older brother, John M. and Alice (Williams) Bass. I believe that Maggie and Alice were sisters, daughters of John Williams who was living in Equality Township during the census of 1880.
The children born to Isaac and Maggie Bass were:

The neighbors of Isaac and Maggie during the Miller County census of 1900 included the families of Keyes, Myers, Davenport, James, Rhodes, Burks, Lupardus, Burlingame and Roark.
Isaac Bass united with the Ulman Baptist Church in 1908 and was ordained as a deacon the following fall and was also the church?s treasurer at the time of his death. He died Dec. 18, 1910, after a brief illness of typhoid fever. He was 57 years of age at his death. His funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.M. Bandy and he was buried at Hickory Point Cemetery. His wife, Maggie (Williams) Bass, lived until 1916 and she was buried beside Isaac at Hickory Point.
