Kevin J. Bassett
Kevin J. Bassett, 22, of Northborough died Thursday (April 19, 2007) at UMass Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave. North in Worcester from injuries sustained in a car accident earlier that day in Marlborough.
He leaves his mother, Francine C. Brodeur of Southborough and his father, Roland J. Bassett Jr. of Northborough and his step-mother Michelle (Maria) Bassett of Marlborough. He was step-brother to Krystal, Kyle and Lindsey Bassett of Northborough. He also leaves his grandparents, Roland and Anne (Hanson) Bassett Sr. of Northborough, Claire (Cadieux) Brodeur of Marlborough and Albert and Caroline Borelli of Framingham and Robert Brennan of Marlborough. He also leaves many cousins and a nephew.
He was born in Framingham and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough in 2001 and was a freshman at Mass Bay Community College where he was studying biotechnology. He recently spoke of becoming a transfer student to Taiwan.
Kevin was a very talented artist and liked to draw for a hobby. His interests varied including fishing, camping, playing bass guitar, collecting swords and memorabilia from rock bands.
Kevin made time to be with his family and was very protective of his younger siblings. He had an infectious smile that would light up a room. Considered to be a non conformist, he never-the-less demonstrated strong loyalty and respect for members of his family.
Following cremation at Rural Crematory in Worcester, a time of visitation will be held on Friday (Apr. 27, 2007) at the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough from 6 till 8 P.M. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. in the Howard Street Cemetery, Howard St., Northborough. Following the services friends are welcomed to come to the Bassett home in Northborough.
