The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Haverstock Chapel with the Rev. Charles Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and until the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Mrs. Mielbeck was born 8 Aug. 1905, in Detroit, the daughter of Floyd and Mabel (Chillson) Bassett. On 24 Jun, 1924, in Island Lake, MI, she married Henry Mielbec, who died 29 Nov. 1959. Survivors include two sons, Wesley Mielbeck, LaPorte, and Roger (Joan) Mielbeck, LaPorte; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Schmitt, Evansville, IN, Vera Trost Spring Hill, FL, Sybil Johnson, Kaleva, MI, and Shirley Zeese, New Port Richey, FL. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Arlene Haynes, one son, Floyd, one sister and one brother. Mrs. Mielbeck was a nurse's adie for 17 years t Pine Lake Hospital. She resided in LaPorte for 50 years, coming from Detroit. She was a member of Hillcrest Methodist Church, Michigan City, IN, and of Restless Rovers Camping Club. Iva R. Mielbeck was placed next to her husband Henry and daughter Arlene Haynes in Patton Cemetery and near her sister Ethel Robertson.
