Smith Bass
Smith Bass, 87, Sour Lake farmer, died in the home of a daughter, Mrs. S. E. Bandy, at Sour Lake yesterday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock. A native of Louisiana, he was a resident of Sour Lake for 37 years.
Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning in the Sahara cemetery at Devers. Rev. E. J. Heirhoser, Pentecostal minister, will officiate. Burial will be under the direction of the Roberts funeral home.
Surviving besides Mrs. Bandy are two other daughters, Mrs. Bertha Delaney and Mrs. Lillie Delaney, both of Sour Lake, and a son, Dewey Bass of Cleveland.
Pallbearers will be Olan Delaney, Barney Bandy, Dempsy Bandy, and Gerald McCullough, all of Sour Lake, and G. D. Freeman of Devers and Robert Bandy of El Campo.
