  Notes	Josiah's wife, Mary E. Carr applied for Civil War Widow's Pension in Drew COunty Arkansas in 1892. She stated he died during the Civil War and that he was a private in Company C, 3rd Regiment, Georgia Reserves. He enlisted 3 May 1864 at Americus, Georgia by Captain W.F. Scott. He is reported dead on 1 July 1864 by George J. Drew. Josiah's company was sent to guard Anderson Prison. He died while a guard there. He is lited in the files as "Sumter Camp Guard" Number 765.
