Obituary Notes
Arthur Bessette, husband of the late Helmina Hebert, died yesterday at this home, 283 Remsen Street, after a brief illness. For many years he had conducted a custom tailoring business in this city. He attended St. Joseph’s Church and was a member of the Union of Prayer. Survivors include a daughter Miss Theresa Bessette, Cohoes; a son, Pfc. Paul E. Bessette, of the Army, stationed at Camp Santa Anita, Cal.; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Gallipeau, Cohoes; two brothers, George and Henry H. Bessette, Sr., both of Cohoes, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a.m. from A.G. Boivins’ Sons Funeral Home and at 9:30 at St. Joseph’s Church, where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
