Bass Sr. and Hattie Bolling Bass, he served in the Alabama National Guard, Florala unit and was employed with off-shore oil production until he retired due to his health. A member of the Gidelity Lodge #685 of Florala, he was a Shriner and a member of the Andalusia Ballet Association. Funeral held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home of Florala with Rev. James Paul officiating.
