Lavon Windham Bass
Lavon Windham Bass, 72, died Friday, May 20, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
She was born to Albert and Katie Ethel Hicks Windham on Thursday, October 15, 1938, in Ripley.
She was a Retired Employee of Walmart with 14 years of service.
She also worked for Foot Cares for many years.
She was a Member of Community Baptist Church in Ripley. She was a Member of the WMU and Volunteer at Northeast Christian Academy.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Fellowship Baptist Church in Ripley with Bro. Tim Latch officiating and Bro. Randy Latch assisting.
Burial will be in Jacobs Chapel Cemetery in Ripley.
McBride Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included eight Sons, Wayne Bass and Wife, Sherry; Barry Bass and Wife, Nikki; Ray Bass and Wife, Betty; Ronnie Bass and Wife, Lori; Steve Bass and Wife, Cheryl; all of Ripley; Rodney Bass and Wife, Debbi, of Walnut; Timmy Bass and Wife, Brandie, of Mercer, TN; and Welsey Bass and Wife, Raleigh, of Blue Springs; one Brothers, Paul Windham of Baldwyn; 15 Grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Larry Neil Bass; her Parents; and several Brothers and Sisters.
Pallbearers will be Gene Greer, Caleb Austin, Britt Bass, Neil Bass, Michael Bass, Asher Bass, Keith Richardson and Clay Bass.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her Granddaughters and Dan Windham.
Visitation will be from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the Funeral Home; and from 2 p.m. until Service time today at the Church.
