Harold Arthur Bass
Harold Arthur Bass, 89, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 24, 1996.
He was born in Karlton, Kansas on June 24, 1906, a son of Lewis Arthur and Sarah Elizabeth McDonald Bass.
His family moved to Ogden in 1911 and farmed in the Five Points area. He married Elma Elizabeth Lee on Dec. 30, 1927 in Brigham City. They spent the rest of their married lives in Utah, Nevada and Wyoming, working for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife of Ogden; two sons and four daughters, Lewis Arthur (Eleanor), Murray, Utah; David Harold (Debra), Laurel, Maryland; Donna Anderson (Evan), Sunset, Utah; Carol Tormehlen (Norris), Seymour, Indiana; Kay East (Wesley), West Warren; Lynn Schmidt, Ringwood, New Jersey; 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Earl and Donald, sisters, Helen and Grace, grandson, Lee E. Anderson, a granddaughter, Victoria Trunk.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside in the Memorial Garden of the Wasatch on Saturday, April 27th, at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Larkin & Sons Mortuary, 496 24th St. Ogden, Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m.
