Charles Rice officiating. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Young and Sons Funeral Home of Perryville was in charge of arrangements. Bass, 77 years old, of Perryville, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 1989, at the Mineral Area Medical Center in Farmington. He was born July 7, 1911 at Perryville, son of Francis Monroe and Sarah Tucker Bass. He was a drill press operator. He was a member of the Perryville VFW. He was married to Rose E. Swan. She preceded him in death Aug. 10, 1988. Survivors include two sons, Francis (Frank) Bass of Perryville and William J. Bass of Augusta, Ga; brother, George (Bert) Bass of Perryville three sisters, Frances Boxdorfer of Chester, Ill., Stella Brewer and Thelma Kitchen, both of Perryville; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchilden. He was preceded in death by a son.
