Altina (Tina) M. Bessette Sievers, 97 of San Antonio, TX, entered eternal rest on October 7, 2016. She was born in Agawam, MA on March 20, 1919, to Harold and Elizabeth Bessette. She married Clarence G. Sievers on August 2, 1947 in Agawam, MA and was a devoted parishioner of St. Leo's the Great Catholic Church. Tina enjoyed reading, crocheting, ceramics, and traveling to visit her daughter in VA and CO. She is preceded in death by her husband; and is survived by her children Allen and Jane; granddaughters, Aimee (Bob) and Kristen (James), great-grandchildren: Courtney, Morgan, Riley,Travis and Justin; and numerous other relatives. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Pfamily Tree Assisted Living for their exceptional care of Tina. Visitation will be held at Roy Akers funeral home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 7:30a.m. followed by a 9:00a.m. procession to celebrate a 9:30a.m. Rosary and Mass of Resurrection at St. Leo's the Great Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston national cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Leo's Church, Pfamily Tree Assisted Living or to a local Alzheimer?s Association.
