Robert Conley Bass
Mr. Robert Conley Bass, son of the late Mr. James Bass and Mrs. Fannie Lowe Bass, was born 17 Jul 1890 in Green Co. and departed this life at 6 am Sat. 15 Mar 1975 at the Metzmeier Nursing Home in Campbellsville. He was 84 years, 7 months and 28 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to miss Lissie Smith in 1915 and she preceded him in death 8 Mar 1952. To this union were born 4 sons and 5 daughters. Surviving are: Marvin Bass, Louisville; Mrs. Virginia McConnico, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Mae Furkins, mason City, Ill; Mrs. Magdalene Gupton, Mrs. Leora Pickett, Eugene ?Fireball' Bass and Mrs. Nell Bradshaw, all of Greensburg. Robert Bass preceded his father in death in infancy and Loren Conley. Bass preceded his father in death 9 Dec 1961. Mr. Bass is survived by 1 sister: Mrs. Lillie ?Goolie' Workman, Greensburg; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains are at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Mon. 17 Mar 1975 with burial in the Bethlehem Cem. Revs. Jim Evans, Eutre Hammett and Gene Weddle officiated. Pallbearers were: Rodney Berry, Crawford Cox, Shreve Loy, Leon Paxton, Russell O'Banion and W.T. Moore.
