  Notes	The News & Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, 2 July 1930 O.D. Dies At His Home In Wayne Goldsboro, July 1.- O.D. Bass, 71, highly respected farmer, died at his home in Brogden township at 2 o?clock Monday morning following a lingering illness of many months. He is survived by his widow and several children. Funeral services were conducted from the First Baptist Church in Goldsboro at 4 o?clock Monday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. A.J. Smith, and interment was in the Ham Springs burying ground, two miles north of Goldsboro.
