Inez Lofton Bassett, 83, of Louin, MS, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m, on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Bay Springs, MS. Burial will be in Louin Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00p.m at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Of Bay Springs.
She loved to work in her yard and loved being with her family, she was a loving Mother and Grandmother and never missed anything they did.
Mrs. Bassett was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Lofton; mother, Ruby Johnson Lofton; husband, George Bassett; brothers, Howard Lofton and Alton Lofton and sister, Opal Dykes.
Survivors include her sons Stan Bassett, Madison, MS and Kevin Bassett(Michelle), Louin, MS; brother, James F. Lofton, Stringer, MS and granddaughter, Delaney Bassett, Louin, MS.
Pallbearers will be Chris Lofton, Brain Lofton, Jimmy Smith, Roy Bassett, Rusty Bassett and Eric McCormick.
