Hazel Smith Bass
Hazel Smith Bass, 62, of Badham Road, a retired cafeteria worker, died Aug. 6, 1992, in a hospital.
Mrs. Bass was born in Ahoskie. She had retired from the Edenton-Chowan public schools.
Survivors include her husband, William Bass; a daughter, Joanne Coleman of Edenton; three sons, Billy Bass of Edenton, and Bobby Henderson and Marvin Henderson, both of Greenville; two sisters, Decie Lowe of Portsmouth and Joyce Lee of Gastonia, N.C.; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Williford-Barham Funeral Home by the Rev. Kenneth Word and the Rev. Danny Gurganus. Burial will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of North Carolina, Eastern Region, P.O. Box 1407, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
