She was born in Camden County, N.C. Survivors include two sons, Wade Bass of Dallas and Ryan N. Bass and his wife, Sandra Powers, of Detroit. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Ron Cava. Burial will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at 111 Morris Circle, Edenton. Donations may be made to the Kay Evans Memorial Handbell Fund, c/o Rocky Hock Baptist Church, 113 Rocky Hock Church Road, Edenton, NC 27932.
