Mr. Bass was a member of Pampa Lodge #966 and a 32nd Degree Mason. Russell was a member of the Houston Chamber of Commerce and the Houston Bowling Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Panny Bass; mother, Antionette Phillips; and father, Russell M. Bass. Russell is survived by his daughter, Kay Dunn and husband Mike, granddaughters, Angela Bond and husband Michael, Laurie Folkes, and Leslie Dunn; great-grandson, Tanner Bond. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2003 at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer.
