Gary Bass, Truckdriver
Mr. Gary W. Bass, 55, of San Sebastian Drive, Hephzibah, beloved husband of Patricia Bass, entered into rest Thursday, October 9, 2002, at Eisenhower Medical Center.
Mr. Bass was a native of Lumberton, N.C. and a Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War, he was an avid fisherman and loved camping. He also enjoyed coaching soccer for the YMCA.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m Saturday, October 12, 2002, from the Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
Survivors include two sons, John Bass and his wife Rachel of Norfolk, Va., and Justin Bass of Augusta; one sister, Linda Kalbskoph of Gerard; one granddaughter, Hannah Bass, two brothers-in-law, Ron McVie of Perth, Australia, and Ken McVie of Dunedin, New Zealand; one sister-in-law, Christine Keenan also of Dunedin, and several nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be William Kalbskoph, Mike Wize, Mickey James, Bill Helms, Mitch Parrish, and Skip Amoroson.
