A visitation will be from 2:00-3:00PM Friday, July 11th, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 131 McCord Street with a funeral to follow at 3:00PM, Reverend Glenn Flowe officiating. Interment will be a 3:00PM Saturday at Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview, SC conducted by Reverend Eddie Jordan. Mr. Bass was born in Robeson County, NC, son of the late Blonzo and Roxie Bass. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, West Gate Masonic Lodge and Past Master, Scottish Rite Bodies, Oasis Temple, past president of the Metrolina Shrine Club, member of Paw Creek American Legion and retired as a driver for Gulf/BP Trucking Company. Surviving are: wife, Emily Miller Bass; sons, Mark Bass of Charlotte and Kirk Bass and wife, Sharon of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Madelyn Bass; brother Horace Bass and wife, Jackie of Lakeview, SC.
