Mr. Bass was born Nov. 19, 1956 in Dillon County, a son of the late Cornie and Daisy Bass and worked with Tripac, Inc. He was a member of Gapway Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. Bass in addition to his wife are a daughter, Cecilia Bass Kusznir and her husband Michael of New Jersey; three sons, Shawn Bass, Austin Bass and Thomas Jr.; and a grandchild, Zander Kusznir. Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chip Scruggs officiating. Burial followed in Old Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.
