He was a retired carpenter and he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Doris Creel Bass; daughters Sherri Bryant and Nichole Bryant; son Eric Bass; brothers Randy (Michele), Rusty Baas and Steve Bass; sisters Billie Pope and Joann Causey; grandchildren Nathan, Ethan, Marshall and Elizabeth. He was pre-deceased by a son W. Curtis Bass; and sisters Cathy Birchmore and Patricia Valazquez; and a brother, Gene Bass. Graveside services, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be held Friday April 29, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the Old Field Cemetery, 19761 Choppee Rd., Hemingway, SC. The family will receive friends after the service.
