He is survived by his children, Dwight Bass (Carla), Melissa Schiffgens (Don); siblings, Joe Bass, Steve Bass (Ann), Shelley Young (Andy) and grandchildren, Carmen Bass, Caeden Schiffgens, Cassie Bass and Davis Bass. A memorial service will take place 2pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 211 W. Third Street, Wendell, NC 27591.
