Robert Allen Bass Sr.
WHITEVILLE ? Robert Allen Bass Sr., 77, went to be with Lord Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Allen Bradie and Charity Merritt Bass and was also preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Bass Ward; and four siblings, Cardell Bass, Ray Bass, Everett Bass and Jessie Rhembert Bass.
He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and owner/operator of Bass Crop Insurance Company.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. Final rites will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 3 at Smyrna Baptist Church with Revs. Ray Best and Merle Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Barbara Ann Walker Bass of the home; one son, Robert Allen Bass Jr. and his wife, Patti, of Whiteville; and two grandchildren, Lauryn Elizabeth Bass and Caitlyn Nicole Bass.
