  Notes	The News Reporter, Whiteville, North Carolina, Thursday, December 1, 2005 Willard Ray Bass WHITEVILLE - Willard Ray Bass, 71, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation in Elizabethtown. He was the son of the late Allen Brady and Charity Ann Merritt Bass. He graduated from Whiteville High School and Spencer Watch School. He was a member of the Chadbourn Lions Club for 16 years. Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smyrna Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Riedel officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home, Inc. of Chadbourn handled the arrangements. He is survived by a brother, Robert Allen Bass Sr. of Whiteville.
