Luther F. Bass
FAIRMONT, Nov. 21 ? Luther Francis Bass, 61, of Route 3, Raeford, died Monday at Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg, following seven years of declining health. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Prevatte Funeral Home in Fairmont, with the Rev. John Glenn of Raeford officiating. Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jadie Belle Lamb Bass; four sons, L.F. Bass jr., James A. Bass and Kirby Bass, all of Raeford, and Romulous Bass of Florence, S.C.; four daughters, Mrs. J.W. King of Lake View, S.C., Mrs. J.L. Yopp of Wilmington, Mrs. Aldon Stewart of Tampca, Fla., and Mrs. Robert Rhodes of Jacksonville, N.C.; one brother, Sanford Bass of Lumberton; and one sister, Mrs. Joe Parker of Fairmont.

FAIRMONT ? Luther Francis Bass, 61, of Raeford, Rt. 3, died Monday night in Scotland County Memorial hospital, Laurinburg, after about seven years of declining health.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o?clock at the chapel of Prevatte Funeral home in Fairmont by Rev. John Glenn, pastor of the First Baptist church of Raeford. Burial will be in the Fairmont cemetery.
Mr. Bass was a member of the Long Leaf Park Baptist church in Wilmington.
He was a son of the alte Aytch Bass and the late Mrs. Catherine Wilcox Bass. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jadie Lamb Bass; four sons, L.F. Bass Jr., James A. Bass and Kirby Bass, all of Raeford, and Romelous Bass of Florence, S.C.; four daughters, Mrs. J.W. King of Lake View, S.C., Mrs. J.L. Yopp of Wilmington, Mrs. Aldon Stewart of Tampa, Fla, and Mrs. Robert Rhodes of Jacksonville; one brother, Sanford Bass of Lumberton; and one sister, Mrs. Joe Parker of Fairmount.
