Roy Vaughn Bass
BASS, Roy Vaughn ? of Mt. Morris, age 75, died Monday, April 25, 2022 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, May 2, 2022 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dean Gardner officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2:00 Pm to 6:00 PM and on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Fountain - Grace Assembly of God Church.
Roy was born March 4, 1947 in Arbyrd, Missouri to the late Elmer and Cora (Goff) Bass. He grew up in the Flint area and attended Beecher High School. He served his country in the US Army from 1964 to 1967. On December 15, 1990 he married Nancy Hetzer in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Roy worked for GM at the Truck and Bus Plant with 40 years of service. He was a member of the Fountain of Grace Assembly of God Church. Roy enjoyed watching football, exploring the bible and spreading the gospel. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife, Nancy Bass; Children, Brian Bass, Christina Bass, Jimmy Hetzer-Bass; Grandchildren, Jacob Chitwood, Mackenzi Dow, Zander J. Dow, Zander R. Lasley, Jaiden "JJ" Bass; Brother, Jimmy (Marcy) Harrington; several extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son, Tracy Bass; Siblings, Joe Bass, Rodney Bass, Gerri Harrington.
