Bessie Pope Bass, 89, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022. She was born in Portsmouth to the late Wilton and Louise Pope.
She is predeceased by her husband, James A. Bass; and a son, William Bechtel.
She is survived by her sister, Della Garnes; and twelve nieces and nephews, Danny Garnes, Teddy Garnes, Terry McKenzie, Cathy Kay, Steve Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Lisa Pope, Vicky Pope, Bobby Pope, Brandon Pope, Shannon Pope and Jenna Pope.
