  Notes	Greensboro Daily News, North Carolina, July 11, 1954 Claude Bass FAIRMONT, July 10 ? Claude Bass, 68, died unexpectedly early this morning of a heart attack at his home in Marietta. Survivors include nine daughters, Mrs. Jack Kinlaw, Mrs. Winfred Tolar, Mrs. John Lowe and Mrs. John Pope all of Lumberton, Mrs. Brown Walter of Fairmont ,Mrs. Johnny Merritt of Barnesville, Mrs. John Gardner of Lake View, S.C., Mrs. Robert James and Mrs. Lester Adams of Marietta, and an adopted son, Calvin Hodge of Jamaica, N.Y. Funeral services will be held at the home at 3 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in the Fairmont Cemetery.
