Audrey Jean Bass

BLOOMING PRAIRIE - Audrey Jean Bass, 82, of Blooming Prairie, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield.
She was born to Ralph and Gelina (Ellsberry) Kelly on Nov. 5, 1926, in Boone, Iowa where she grew up and graduated from High School in 1944. She attended Chicago Interior of Design, receiving her degree in 1948. She married Ray Bass on Feb. 23, 1947, in Ridgeport, Iowa. They made their home in Des Moines, Iowa for 13 years before moving to Minnesota where they farmed near Blooming Prairie. Ray passed away on Feb. 22, 2006.
She is survived by son, Timothy and Sandy of Blooming Prairie; four grandchildren, Heidi and Brett Zimmerman of Cannon Falls, Heather and Anthony Schiller of Owatonna, Nicholas Bass of Blooming Prairie, Tyler Bass of Blooming Prairie; three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ray.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 4, at Prairie Lodge No. 123 at 127 Third Ave. SE, Blooming Prairie. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Private family burial will be at Blooming Prairie Cemetery.
