GRAHAM -- Graveside services for Alpha Omega Briscoe Bass, 89, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Graham Cemetery with Bro. Paul Dean Martin officiating. Born June 2, 1914, in Graham to Thomas J. and Effie Cannon Briscoe, she died June 5, 2003, in Healdton. She married Nick Bass on April 11, 1935, in Ringling. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Opal Perdue, and a brother, Bus Briscoe. Mrs. Bass lived in the Graham area all of her life. She was a member of Graham Baptist Church. She worked as a homemaker and later in the cafeteria at Graham schools for about 11 years. Survivors include a son, Joe Robert Bass, Ardmore; a sister, Irene Johnson, Perryton, Texas; a brother, Willard Briscoe, Bridgeport, Texas; two grandchildren, Nicky, Ardmore, and Trisha, San Diego, Calif.; and three great-grandchildren, Nakia, Reagon and Kanon Bass. Services are under the direction of Spivey's Reser Funeral Home.
