Melbe Louise (Bass) Patrick
Ardmore ? Funeral services for Mrs. Melba Louise Patrick, 75, of Wilson is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2011, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with the Rev. Don Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park of Ardmore.
Melba was born March 26, 1936, at Clemscott, Okla., to the late Lonzo Juett "Lon" Bass and Annie M. (Roberson) Bass. She departed this life Monday, December 5, 2011, at Ardmore surrounded by her family.
Melba was born and raised in the Clemscott area attending school there. She married Mr. Bennie Eugene "Sparky" Patrick Sr. on January 31, 1953, at Clemscott. They made their home in Dillard and Melba worked as a devoted homemaker and other jobs around Wilson including being a bank teller at the Bank of Wilson. She always enjoyed being outdoors and loved working in her garden and sharing her plants with family and friends. She was a member of the Rexroat Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Marie Roberts; and brothers, Jessie Dean Bass, Juett Carl Bass and John Bass.
Survivors include her husband, Sparky of the home; sons, Bennie Eugene Patrick Jr. and wife, Debra of Ryan and Roy Patrick and wife, Lori of Lone Grove; sisters, Betty Elizabeth Shelley of Flagstaff, Ariz., Cindy Cormany and husband, Dave of Wilson and Edda Lonn Willingham and husband, Gene of Tishomingo; brothers, James Anderson Bass and wife, Mary of Mountain Home, Ark., and Bobby Max Bass and wife, June of Borger, Texas; three grandchildren, Shaun, Lindsay and Scott Patrick; numerous nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Dave Cormany, Dustin Cormany, David Cormany, Frankie Cantrell, Bob Bass and Bennie Cartwright.
