Mary Patterson
Mary Ruth (Bass) Patterson, 71, passed away Feb. 7, 2021, at Gothenburg Hilltop Estates VA Hospital after suffering a massive stroke in her home at Buffalo Bill High Rise on Jan. 31, 2021. She was born on Aug. 13, 1949, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Forrest and Bessie (Winters) Bass. She resided in Oklahoma until shortly after the death of her father in 1990 when she and her mother moved to North Platte to be near her mother's sisters and family. They were members of the Calvary Baptist Church. Mary later moved to Maxwell where she met and married Walter Patterson. After she was widowed, she moved to the North Platte High-Rise with her little dog, Charley. She was a very helpful and kindhearted person who made many friends there, including her best friend, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Bessie Bass; brother, Charley Bass; and husband, Walter Patterson. Mary is survived by her brother, Mark (Mary Lynn) Bass; and many nephews and nieces who loved her very much. Memorials are suggested to the family.
