Bass Funeral services celebrating the life of Thomas Bass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2014 at Pinelake Baptist Church in Brandon with the Rev. Chip Henderson and Rev. Jeff Holland officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Interment will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park. Tom was born on October 29, 1933 in Utica and passed away on January 2, 2014. Tom was a longtime resident of Brandon and member of the John Long Bible class at Pinelake Baptist Church. He served in the mission department under the direction of Shelby Neese until his illness. Tom had served as a deacon at a local church until moving. Tom retired from Borden Milk Co. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gladys Ross Bass of Brandon; daughter, Tracy Bass Westling (Frank) of Madison; grandsons, Hunter Ross Westling and Peyton Fisher Westling; sisters, Dorothy Lackey of Raymond; Virginia Melvin of Jackson; Carolyn Bradley of Brandon and brother, William Bass of Pearl. Memorials may be made to the Missions, Pinelake Baptist Church, 6071 Highway 25, Brandon, MS 39047.
