She was born September 10, 1937, in Newcomerstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Eugene Bassett and Barbara Wagner Bassett. Hope was a homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Bethesda, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Joanne and Florence. Surviving are her husband, Roy W. Goff; a daughter, Debbie (Denver) Criss of Bethesda; grandchildren, Denver Allen Criss Jr., and Daniel William Criss; a great-grandson, Logan William Criss; sisters; Diane of New Philadelphia, Ohio; Ruth of Coshocton, Ohio, Dixie and Connie both of Newcomerstown, Ohio; brothers Jess of Masury, Ohio and Ed of West Palm Beach, Florida. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service Tuesday, 1 p.m., at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Bethesda, Ohio, with Pastor Brian Bee officiating, with a burial at the convenience of the family. Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda, Ohio, handling arrangements.
