Bass Sr., 76, will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with the Rev. Paul Messer officiating. Mr. Bass died June 11. He was a member of Pell City First Methodist Church, was active with various youth organizations, was a Mason and a member of Eastern Star Palma Vista No. 205. He was a past president of Redland Fraternal Society. He is survived by his wife, Betty C. Bass of Cropwell; one daughter, Linda Bass Schimpf of Navarre, Fla.; two sons, Oron Lamar Bass Jr. of Homestead, Fla., and Denis Allen Bass of Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Joyce Bass Lee of Tallahassee and and Treva Bass Chaney of Homestead, Fla.; two brothers, William W. Bass and Wyley C. Bass of Homestead, Fla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pell City First United Methodist Church. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville will direct the service.
